Martin Luther King Day
A Day On, Not A Day Off

Davis Bozeman Johnson Law Firm honors the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. through meaningful service and community engagement with the DBJ Giving Express.

The weekend begins with preparation. On Sunday before the MLK National Holiday, volunteers gathered to pack essential items, prepare meals, and collect donations. On Monday—true to the spirit of Dr. King’s vision—we visit hotels and motels, delivering food, toiletries, and other necessities to neighbors in need. The experience always serves as a powerful reminder of what is possible when we unite in service and solidarity.

We extend our sincere gratitude to our sponsor, S.P.A.R.C., for guiding us to the outreach locations and inspiring this effort, and to our dedicated community partners—Black Man Lab, The Black Women’s Lab, and Beacon Hill Black Alliance—for their steadfast support. â€‹Thank you to every donor, volunteer, and supporter who power this initiative.

Confronting Food Insecurity
Serving with Purpose

Each year, the DBJ Giving Express serves as a holiday initiative rooted in service, dignity, and compassion, with a clear focus on addressing food insecurity. We understand that hunger is a persistent challenge for many families and individuals experiencing homelessness, and meaningful response requires both immediate action and sustained partnership.

Through this initiative, our team prepares and distributes hot meals to communities housing individuals experiencing homelessness. These meals meet an urgent need while affirming the dignity of those we serve. In the same spirit, we deliver toys to children, creating moments of joy and relief for families during the holiday season.

This work is strengthened through our ongoing collaboration with the Statesboro Food Bank. Together, we support food access and distribution efforts that extend beyond a single event and contribute to longer term solutions. This partnership allows us to address hunger at multiple levels while remaining accountable to the communities we serve.

The DBJ team showed up and showed out, turning shared values into tangible impact. This initiative reflects who we are and what we stand for, a commitment to community, shared responsibility, and justice that reaches beyond the courtroom and into everyday lives.

Annual Toy Drive
Moving with Joy

The Annual DBJ Toy Drive is a signature tradition of service at Davis Bozeman Johnson Law, returning each year to ensure children and families experience joy, dignity, and care during the holiday season. This year’s drive was a remarkable success, with more than 500 toys collected through the generosity of community supporters and the dedication of the DBJ team. Every toy was distributed at Junction 2800, creating meaningful and lasting moments for local families.

Each year, the Toy Drive is intentionally designed to be more than a distribution event. It is a full community celebration. Alongside the toy giveaway, our team served hot meals, shared uplifting music, and created a welcoming environment filled with joy, laughter, and togetherness. Local community partners and media were present to witness and capture the spirit of collective care that defines this annual effort.

The Annual DBJ Toy Drive reflects our firm’s ongoing commitment to community centered service that extends beyond the courtroom. We are grateful to every donor, volunteer, partner, and family who helps transform this annual tradition into a day of hope, connection, and shared humanity.

Back To School Bash
Focus on the Future

The Annual DBJ Back 2 School Bash is a signature community initiative serving families in DeKalb and Bulloch Counties as students prepare for the new school year. Each year, families gather for a day focused on access, encouragement, and celebration, ensuring students begin school equipped and confident.

Across both counties, we distribute backpacks and essential school supplies to every student in attendance, provide free haircuts, and serve hot meals along with favorite treats like cotton candy and popcorn. Children enjoy games, music, and family friendly activities, while parents connect with trusted community partners and resource providers offering information and support.

The response continues to affirm the need for this work. We are proud that every supply we bring is placed directly into the hands of students who need them most. The DBJ Back 2 School Bash in South Dekalb and the Back 2 School Community Collaborative remains an annual commitment to invest in our children, strengthen families, and support educational success in the communities we serve.
